Medical Recognition
The 2020 American Urological Association Guidelines define premature ejaculation as "poor ejaculatory control with related discomfort, and ejaculation occurring within approximately 2 minutes after penetration."
While HA injection therapy was not included in the 2020/2021 guidelines, multiple peer-reviewed studies have since been published demonstrating its efficacy and safety.
Disorders of Ejaculation: An AUA/SMSNA Guideline
HA injection therapy has not yet been included at the time of the 2021 publication. However, since that time, over 8 published, peer-reviewed series have been reported demonstrating the efficacy and safety to HA gel injection therapy to significantly increase IELT for men with PE.
